High Noon 2013 Comes to a Close

Today we concluded our 2013 High Noon Speaker Series. We have laughed and learned about so many topics. Just today, Stacey Ragone, a graduate of MCC’s culinary arts program, gave us fun tips for stress-free holiday entertaining! Also, we have discovered that we have a thriving Roller Derby community right here in Rochester. We learned the ins out outs of home roasting coffee. We found out how you can watch TV without a TV. We delved into the history, architecture and beauty of Mt. Hope Cemetery. We received valuable information about protecting personal information on the Internet, from a cyber security expert (our first guest speaker!). We also explored mobile apps, MOOCs, and bibliographic management. Phew! What a wonderful year!

Do not be too sad that this year is finished. We will be back in 2014 with new speakers and new topics.  We hope that you will join us on the last Wednesday of the month at noon in Miner Library in the History of Medicine room.

Not to be missed in January…Medicine in Pop Culture.
