New Quiet Study Space

When we’ve asked you about changes to our physical space – what you’d like to change, if you could – you’ve said:

“More quiet study space”

“More comfortable chairs”

“More electrical outlets”

..and let’s not forget the #1 request,

“More natural light.”

Well, we heard you!

New quiet study space in Miner Library

Our new quiet study space is located off the main reading room. It used to be filled with floor-to-ceiling shelves that held print journals. But thanks to some help from Friends of the University of Rochester Libraries, Susan Gibbons (Vice Provost & Dean the University of Rochester’s River Campus Libraries), and other philanthropic support, it’s now a bright, colorful space, with plenty of tables, comfortable chairs, and power outlets. The large windows offer a lovely view of the School of Nursing’s Helen Wood Hall and, of course, some gorgeous, sunny skies (when the sun’s out, that is!).

Check it out. We think you’ll like it!
