Photographs by Ross Tallents, D.D.S.

Photograph by Ross TallentsA retrospective exhibit of digital photographs by Ross H. Tallents, D.D.S., is on display through June 30 in the Edward G. Miner Library, University of Rochester Medical Center.

Entitled, “Eleven Years of Digital Photography,” the colorful images evoke a sense of tranquility and wonder. They represent only a handful of the images Dr. Tallents has taken during his travels, locally and throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Dr. Tallents purchased his first digital single lens reflex camera in 1999.  When asked, he highly recommends digital photography – at any level – as being not only enjoyable but very affordable. Dr. Tallents’ photographs have been exhibited in other Rochester venues, including the High Falls Art Gallery.

Dr. Tallents is Professor of Dentistry in the Divisions of Orthodontics and Prosthodontics and Program Director of the Temporomandibular Joint Fellowship Program within the University of Rochester’s Eastman Institute for Oral Health. He graduated from Georgetown University School of Dentistry. Subsequently, he completed a general dentistry internship and received a certificate in Prosthodontics at the Eastman Dental Center.

Miner Library is open Monday-Thursday, 7:30 am – 10 pm; Friday, 7:30 am – 8 pm; Saturday, 10 am – 8 pm; Sunday, noon – 10 pm. Call 585.275.3361 for holiday hours.
