This updated class covers Google and Google Scholar’s newest features. Learn to personalize searching to get relevant, high-quality results quickly and efficiently. We’ll look at popular Google services, such as iGoogle, Google Alerts & Google Reader, Google Books, and more. We’ll also discuss when other search engines or databases might be more appropriate for your information needs. Many of the features we’ll cover in class apply to other search engines, as well.
All in all, you’ll gain hands-on skills as well as an overview of the depth and breadth of information available to you on the Internet – if you know how to find it!
