Sign Up for Spring RefWorks and EndNote Basics Classes

These bibliographic management programs, free to UR students and staff, streamline the process of organizing references and writing research papers.

RefWorks (web-based) and EndNote (software loaded onto your desktop) allow you to easily collect citations and PDF files from a variety of online sources, and automatically insert and format citations and bibliographies in the output style of your choice.

In these hands-on classes you’ll learn how to import references from such online databases as PubMed and Ovid Medline, create a manuscript and bibliography using MS Word, and work with the program’s newest features.

RefWorks classes are scheduled for:

• Wednesday, March 23…3:00–4:00 pm
• Tuesday, April 5…10:00–11:00 am
• Monday, April 25…1:00–2:00 pm

EndNote classes are scheduled for:

• Thursday, March 10…1:00–2:30 pm
• Friday, April 1…3:00–4:30 pm
• Friday, April 29…1:00–2:30 pm

There is no charge for the classes, which are in Miner Library Classroom 1, but registration is required. Click on the “Classes & Sign-Up “ link under “Teaching and Learning” on the Miner home page.
