Help us support our community’s poorest

Between MonHouse of Mercy logoday, April 11, and Friday, May 6, 2011, we’ll be collecting new and gently used goods to help the House of Mercy.

The House of Mercy is a grassroots homeless and advocacy center that provides food, clothing, shelter and assistance to some of the poorest people in Rochester. Their doors are open 24/7. Without the help of dedicated volunteers and donors, Mercy would not be able to help those whose lives are wracked by poverty, crime, addiction, and despair.

Here’s a list of needed items:

-Toothbrushes and toothpaste
-Deodorant
-Shampoo
-Combs and hair brushes
-Towels and wash cloths
-Non-perishable foods
-Coffee and sugar

Please place your donations in the box just inside Miner Library’s front entrance.

And from all of us…thank you!
