Need to navigate a chromosome map? Let Miner be your GPS!

NCBI Map Viewer logoIt’s so easy to get lost in all that genome mapping and sequencing data, isn’t it? Why waste any more of your time?

Take our new “Map Viewer by NCBI” introductory class on June 29, 2011, at 1 p.m.  in the Nesbit Computer Classroom (G-7545). The instructor for the class is Mark Plessinger, Ph.D.

NCBI Map Viewer allows you to view and search an organism’s complete genome, display chromosome maps, and zoom into progressively greater levels of detail, down to the sequence data for a region of interest.  Wow!

This class is free but requires registration. For more information, see the Classes & Sign Up page on the Miner website or contact Dr. Plessinger (mark_plessinger@urmc.rochester.edu).
