“About a year ago I read Here If You Need Me by Kate Braestrup published in 2007. It’s a true story about a women whose husband had been killed after his police car had been struck by a truck. The book takes you through her journey from grief after losing her husband, to her faith and finding happiness after tragedy. She ultimately becomes an ordained minister and then moves on to join a search and rescue team. It is an amazing story and I would strongly recommend it to anyone who has suffered a loss in their life and doesn’t feel they can find purpose, fulfillment and happiness after tragedy.”
