The Medical School Press is a new innovative publishing organization run by an international group of medical students. Current editors and bloggers include students from the University of Rochester School of Medicine & Dentistry, the University of Central Florida College of Medicine, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Mica Esquenazi, a member of the UR School of Medicine & Dentistry’s Class of 2017, serves as Editor-in-Chief.
While well-established medical publishers exist, there are no large-scale publishing projects that are exclusively for and by medical students. Further, the collaboration between international medical students is one that is seldom seen. A well-indexed, organized, international, and approachable medical student publishing organization is very necessary to aid students in being engaged, creative, and aware of the highly dynamic medical field. As such, supporting the scholarly expression of the medical student community is the goal of the MSPress. This goal is carried out in a number of ways including supporting medical organizations, such as the American Medical Women’s Association, publishing medical student projects as well as content through various online platforms including the Medical Student Press Journal, MSPress Blog, Medical Commencement Journal, and upcoming podcasts.
We invite you to follow our various projects and spread our work to the medical student community:
>The MSPress Journal – Vol 1 No 1 (2014) just released!
>The MSPress Blog – Updated weekly!

Cheers to the future of medical student publishing,
