It’s no secret that technology can make us less active. But, we can use technology to enhance our fitness, or even our daily level of activity. Today’s devices tell us how many steps we take, how many calories we burn, our heart rates, and even how we are sleeping.
Thinking about ways to maximize your workouts or to find out how much you are moving each day? This talk will cover new frontiers in fitness gadgetry, along with price ranges, reviews, and analyses of wearable devices such as FitBitTM, Nike FuelTM, and Garmin VivoFitTM –to name a few. We also will explore the numerous phone applications devoted to fitness and well-being.
Join us at noon on Wednesday, April 29, 2015, in the History of Medicine room at Miner Library. Feel free to invite your colleagues and bring your lunch!
